West Yorkshire Track Field League
6th Fixture Sunday 6th August 2023 at Cleckheaton
15 Holmfirth Harriers of all ages made their way to Cleckheaton for the 6th and final fixture in the West Yorkshire League. Numbers were down across all the clubs given that this fixture is held in the school summer. An added incentive for the athletes was that it was the final opportunity to win points which go towards the overall individual and club awards for the season within this league.
A massive well done to all our athletes both on the day and throughout the season as we finished in 5th place out of 20 clubs with 403 points, retaining our place in the first division. Additionally, looking back through previous seasons, this is the highest points total we have achieved since 2004.
On an individual basis, the top 3 athletes in each age category win individual medals based on points they have accumulated in the fixtures throughout the season.
