West Yorkshire Schools Championships 2023
10th June 2023, Leeds Beckett Park
Holmfirth Harriers had 4 athletes competing at these prestigious championships. It turned out to be a really successful day for them and it’s great for our club to have athletes competing at these events.
Junior Girls Long Jump: Chloe Law came in 1st place, producing a massive personal best of 4.85m to win her event comfortably.
Junior Boys Javelin: Samuel Standing also came 1st throwing 32.56m which won the event by several metres.
Senior Girls 100m: Eve Dutton was narrowly outside her seasons best when coming 2nd with a time of 13.82s.
Senior Girls 1500m Isabel Richardson came 1st with a time of 4m 36.0s in another comfortable victory.
A massive well done to all four athletes, showing what Holmfirth Harriers can do on the track. It’s an excellent set of results and is just reward for their hard work and consistent approach to their training.
