Walk on behalf of Graham Ellis

Megan Carr, who is the niece of Graham Ellis, is walking the length of the Pennine Way on behalf of Graham to raise awareness of Parkinsons Disease.

Graham Ellis is a very long standing and highly respected member of Holmfirth Harriers AC.

He was an international athlete and one of the best athletes who has ever pulled on the amber vest.

Please support Megan as she attempts the epic 268 mile journey.

This is Megans story:

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, and currently there is no cure. In the UK, around 153,000 people are already living with Parkinson’s. My incredible uncle Graham, is just one of those affected.

Graham has been living with Parkinson’s for over 12 years. Before his diagnosis, Graham would do a casual 120 mile cycle before our Sunday Roast and has lifetime achievements in Running for both England and Yorkshire.

It therefore felt fitting to challenge myself to my absolute limits by walking the full 268 mile Pennine Way route, starting from Edale and finishing at Kirk Yethom. Helping to raise awareness and funding to Parkinson’s UK.
