The first outdoor track and Field meeting of the season for our athletes was held at Spenborough AC on Sunday 26th March. Conditions weren’t ideal for performances, but it was a chance for the athletes to get some competition and see what shape they are in for the season ahead.
Will Lander competed in the 100m and 400m for the senior men. He came 3rd in the 100m and went one better coming 2nd in the 400m.
Eve Dutton competed in the 100m and 200m and it was her first season competing in the U20/Senior age category. She came 4th in the 200m and improved to come 3rd in the 100m.
Chloe Law was in the under 15 girls category. She had a good afternoon finishing 2nd in the Shot Put, 2nd in the Long Jump and then 1st in her 100m race.
Sam Standing had a great afternoon in the under 15 boys category and managed to get a PB in every event that he entered. He came 1st in the Javelin, 1st in the Shot Put and then 3rd in his 100m race.
It was great to see some of our athletes being so competitive early on in the season and it bodes well for the rest of the year.
