Road Secretary’s Report – August 2026
Welcome to the August report reflecting races held in July 2026. As usual, lets start with the Road Championships.
2026 Road Championships
There were two races on the Championships in July although no Harriers made it to the South Cave 10k this year. However two runners competed in the Ilkley Half.

Closed Club races (races only open to HHAC members)
The final closed road race of the year was the Graham Ellis Club 10 held on 7 July 2026.
20 Harriers competed for the Beaumont Rose Bowl which is awarded to the fastest runner on handicap. We were delighted that we were joined by Graham’s friends and family who gave their support to the event and especially to Christine Ellis who presented the prizes.

Summer Monthly 5k Series
The fourth race in the series was held on Tuesday 14th July. 18 runners took part in the race with the fastest home being Robert Booth in 0:21:17.
