A good turnout from Harriers this weekend as we took part in probably the largest marathon in our region on Sunday 16 April.
The weather was kind, grey but dry and warm enough to run in a vest but not hot. This is a big event with 28,000 runners registered to start so we set off in various waves based on predicted times. The route starts and finishes at Old Trafford Cricket Ground and takes in the sights of Stretford, Sale, Altrincham amongst others with lots of opportunity for spectator support and also to see other runners on parts of the course that are out and back. It also meant that some supporters could use the tram and get to see their family and friends several times.
There were some great runs from the club with Max Kaye being first back in 2:43:57 and Julia Thomas first lady in 3:05:41.
