Trevor Ramsden
We are very sad to announce the death of Trevor Ramsden (aged 65 years) an Honorary Life Member of Holmfirth Harriers AC since May 2001. Trevor joined the Club more than 50 years ago as a 13 year-old in October 1960. He represented the Harriers on numerous occasions and his name appears on many of the trophies including the Major Sykes Challenge Cup, The Willie Firth Memorial Trophy, the Haigh Cup, the Parlauf Trophy and the most prestigious trophy, The Tinker Cup, which he won on three occasions. Trevor was Club Captain in 1979/80 and 1980/81; he has run a marathon in under 2 hours 40 minutes and the Three Peaks Fell Race in less than 3 hours. He has been a very popular member of the Club for many years and will be sadly missed by us all. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife, Kate and daughter Jill.

His funeral will take place at Huddersfield Crematorium on Tuesday 3 July 2012 at 10.30am, donations in lieu of flowers to the Pancreatic Cancer and Yorkshire Air Ambulance Appeals.
