Yorkshire Fell Championship and David Bell Memorial Hoppits Hill Fell Race, 27 Feb 2022 With thanks to Nicky Spinks for hosting this event, a full set of junior races were included.
Races for Under 13s to Under 19s formed this year’s Yorkshire Championship races.
A handful of Holmfirth Harriers Juniors took part. The course for the U15s, U17s, U19s and Seniors was the same, and somewhat surprisingly, the Males and Females from these age categories set off together.
There were no Harriers in the Under 13s-17s, but the Under 19s saw two excellent performances: Joe Minchella finished 5th in the Under 19s men’s race, and Isabel Richardson finished 3rd, in the U19s ladies race.
The Under 11s race saw more outstanding results, with Henry McFarlane finishing 3rd (2nd Yorkshire)and Isaac Morris finishing 13th in the boys race. Bethan Morris had the best Harriers performance of the day, with a fantastic 2nd place in the girls race.
