Part of the Junior Winter Championship.
It takes place on a Saturday morning in December, just prior to Christmas, depending on when Christmas Day falls.
The race is handicapped - so anyone can win!!
The races are run around a number of fields around Brooklands Nursery, with the Under 11’s doing one lap of each field, with the Under 13’s and Over 13’s completing additional laps of certain fields according to their age group.
This event is handicapped, so anyone can win. Get training juniors! You will also be racing in age categories, so you've got even more of a chance to win.
Under 11 - school year 5 and below
Under 13 - school years 6 and 7
Over 13 - school years 8 and above
The race winner, after the handicap is taken into account, will receive a trophy and a medal. The 2nd and 3rd in the race, plus the runner who records the fastest time, also receive medals.
The medals are presented at the club, immediately after the race, with the trophies given out at the next club Presentation Evening.
