The six SAS sessions offer a mixture of Repeat Speed and Repeat Hill training, which are designed to greatly improve your endurance running stamina as well as your ability to run up hill. Originally based on Julian Goater’s 6 sessions, I have adapted and refined the sessions to suit a very wide cross - section of club members. These sessions will help ANY HHAC member who takes part in them regularly.
All sessions start and finish at Neiley Pavilion, from 7 p.m. onwards for up to an hour and are followed by a 10 minute static stretching session for those, who so wish. The sessions are suitable for beginners right through to those with world rankings and can be progressed to suit your individual current training needs. Speed and Stamina sessions are part of every club runner’s training diet. Over time, I want to help you run longer, faster. These sessions are highly suitable of runners, cyclists and swimmers a like. Below is a detailed description of each session, with a usual location indication and distance approximation of each leg where appropriate. During the summer sometimes sessions will be run on the Redgra on Neiley Field.
