Tues 26th April 2022, Senior Point to Point "Haigh Cup" race.
This is the final race in the 'Winter Championship", 3rd and last race after the Tinker Cup and Club 6 for club championship based on actual time following on from the ever-popular Tinker Cup and the Club 6; all of these races are handicapped, but the Championship is based on an aggregate best-time basis.
Please add your name on the list at the club for your handicap needed prior to day of registration and also try to give some meaningful information of current form, if no race form then perhaps someone you think is of similar ability who has some race form. The course is about 5 miles to help you estimate.

As the name implies, the Point to Point race involves visiting points using your own route choice, with runners setting off at intervals in reverse order for a theoretical mass finish.
The race is restricted to roads and public footpaths, although what constitutes a public footpath is subject to interpretation; paths such as that passing through Cliffe Wood behind Neiley is not on any map, but is definitely in general use!

To register, please enter via the website or put your name down on the entry sheet at Neiley Pavilion. Please give some indication of your current form when entering so that you can be allocated a handicap.
The closing date for registration is Friday 22nd April.
Registration for the senior point to point is £2 (exact change please) on the night at Neiley from 18.30 to 18.50. The first runner will set off from the stile at the top of Marsh Platt Lane (GR 145 120) at around 19:00.
