As a club affiliated to Northern Athletics all are members are eligible to take part in this CC Championships. Being the Championships for the whole of the northern region you will race against and watch top competitors from all over the north but many ordinary club runners also take part. Don’t be afraid to have a go at this or any of the major events. Every runner ought to experience this at least once. The event normally takes place in late January . The event has now been confirmed for 2022. It will take place at Pontefract on 29th January. This is a relatively easy course if my memory serves me, with no punishing climbs and good running all the way round, although this can obviously be dependent on weather conditions!
The Club will pay the Entry Fees provided you turn up to race. This rule is in place so that athletes know that by signing up, there is a commitment to race.
There are individual and team awards, so I hope as many of you as possible will take part.
