A series of junior virtual winter championship races are being offered from January to March irrespective of whether actual proper mass participation events are allowed to start again.
Starting this week, is the juniors "All to Count". Those members participating need to complete a weekly 2k run using a device to capture distance and time. Take a screen shot and send via WhatsApp or email to me as results will be published 4 weekly via the website.
Entry Requirements.
It is the parent's/guardians responsibility to ensure a safe, supervised, and covid friendly environment for runs.
The All to Count activity will run for 12 weeks with medals awarded for completing 10 out of 12 runs.
Over the 12 weeks a record of your race times will give you an idea of how much you are improving.
Towards end of March, further information will be given regarding activities and awards for most improved athlete , fastest time, and fastest handicapped time. You must have completed at least 6 races in order to qualify for these age category activities/awards.
If you are over 13 you may prefer to opt for 5k distance instead or do both!
Hopefully lots of you will be able to find time, especially as the evenings lighten, to run one Virtual Race each week.
