This event has been added to the Road Championships at short notice due to the cancellation of the Gilberdyke 10 mile race
THE COURSE
A flat, fast 5 mile loop with great PB potential, the course was used by England Athletics for the National 5 mile road race championships in 2019 and has been accurately measured to UK Athletics championship standards. The course takes in a mixture of fast straight roads with a scenic lakeside loop towards the end of the lap.
The 10 miler takes in 2 laps of the exact 5 mile loop.
THE RACE
The race is open to all standards with the 10 miler the perfect build up race for those participating in Septembers Great North Run. A quality bespoke medal is provided to every participant as well as water stations on the course and at the finish.
