The Castleton Great Ridge Fell Race is a BS Category fell race held in the scenic village of Castleton, located in the Peak District National Park. The race covers a distance of 9.2 km (5.7 miles) with an ascent of 427 meters (1401 feet).
Participants run up and along the iconic Great Ridge before descending from Hollins Cross. The event starts at Castleton Playing Fields and offers a classic fell running experience with challenging terrain and beautiful views. It welcomes runners aged 18 and over, with entries accepted both online and on the day. The race is known for its friendly atmosphere and strong local participation.
