An off-road social run held each Boxing Day for all runners - senior and junior - of all abilities as well as their families. The distance is up to 9 miles, but with lots of turn back points allowing for shorter runs.

Terrain: Over the usual footpaths used on our summer runs but with added mud!
This year's Boxing Day Run is being led by our men's captain, Chris Beadle. The run is open to all members - whether junior or senior - and families are welcome to come along and join in on what is a relaxed and friendly run suitable for all abilities.
The clubhouse will be open at 9:00, giving each runner chance to obtain a raffle ticket when they arrive. The run will then start at 9:30. Studded shoes are advisable given the wet conditions underfoot, and all runners should wear clothing appropriate for the weather forecast.
There will be numerous turnback options allowing distances from 3 miles up to around 9 miles, so you can run as far as you like. The aim is for everyone to be finished by 11:30 at the latest, so please take this into account when deciding how far you'd like to run. Photographs are strongly encouraged, as are fancy dress and Santa hats!
After the run, a wide range of Christmassy drinks, treats, and music will be provided at the clubhouse where all are welcome to join in with the fun and festivities. The showers and changing rooms are also available for anyone who wishes to shower and/or change.
