This consists of three handicapped events:-
Xmas Cross Country, Point to Point and Winter Road Race.
All three races are open to all junior members of Holmfirth Harriers.
There are 3 age groups competed for during the Championship:-
Under 11 - school year 5 and below
Under 13 - school years 6 and 7
Over 13 - school years 8 and above
The events are open handicap races - where the runners set off at staggered intervals, with the one predicted to have the slowest time setting off first and the one with the predicted fastest time setting off last. Handicaps are adjusted prior to each race to reflect previous performances.
The overall Championship winner in each age category is calculated by adding the handicap times in each of the two races together, with the athlete having the lowest time being the overall winner. An athlete has to take part in both races to qualify.
The overall winner of each age category receives a trophy, plus a medal. The 2nd and 3rd in each category receive medals. Trophies and medals are presented at the next Club’s Presentation Evening.

2021 - no competition due to Covid
2022 - no-one completed all 3 races
