2026 – HHAC Junior Fell Championship – Races
Following the revision to the junior age-groups, the Championship is split by the following age categories - U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 & U20’s, with category determined by age on 31st December 2026. There is a separate competition for boys & girls and points are awarded based on placings in each race, with the first Harrier home gaining a maximum 15 points, followed by 13, 12, 11 & so on for each subsequent finisher (with everyone picking up at least 1 point). As over half of the 6 English Champs races this year are once again some distance away, I’m going with 14 races to choose from and the Championship will be determined using the best 5 results for each junior athlete.

- March 1 – Ilkley Moor (White Wells, Ilkley).
- March 28 – Pendle (Barley, nr. Burnley).
- April 4 – Rivington Pike (Horwich, nr. Bolton).
- May 4 - Coiners (Mytholmroyd).
- May 9 – Sedbergh (Yorks. Dales) – English Champs.
- May 17 – Esk Valley (N. Yorks Moors) – English Champs.
- May 30 – Ogden Water (Illingworth, nr. Halifax) – English Champs.
- June 14 – Edale - English Champs & Junior Inter-Counties.
- June 20 – Clougha Pike (Quernmore, nr. Lancaster) – English Champs.
- July 12 – Whinlatter (Whinlatter Forest, nr.Keswick) – English Champs.
- October 4 – Strawberry Lace (Uppermill, Saddleworth).
- October 31 – Race You To The Summit (Summit, nr. Littleborough).
