Road Secretary’s Report – July 2026
Welcome to the July report reflecting races held in June 2026. As usual, lets start with the Road Championships.
2026 Road Championships
There were three races on the Championships in June although no Harriers made it to the East Yorks Half this year. However Greenhead parkrun and Lindley 10k both had lots of amber vests competing for the points.

Closed Club races (races only open to HHAC members)
The next closed club event is the Graham Ellis Club 10 on 7th July. Entries close at Midnight on Thursday 2nd July so I hope you are reading this before then !
As this race is run on open roads, I still need SIX marshals to keep the runners safe. Please sign up on the link below or message me direct.
Summer Monthly 5k Series
The third race in the series was held on Tuesday 9th June. Thank you to Chris Beadle for organising and coordinating this month’s event (again). 25 runners took part in the race with the fastest home being Tom Heap in 0:21:04, taking 5s off his time from last month. Tom was closely followed by Andy Jones in 0:21:08.

The next race is on Tuesday 14th July and then 2nd Tuesday of each month until September.
