Road Secretary’s Report – July 2024

The Club 10 is the last internal Harriers road race of the year and will be run on Tuesday 9th July. Entries close on Thursday 4th July at midnight.
2024 Road Championship
The latest race in the Road Championship was the Penistone 10k on 23 June. A good turnout from 22 Harriers led to some excellent results for the club. Sam Williams was first Harrier home in 38:33 and first lady was Helena Croft in 42:24. Helena was also 4th lady overall, Damo McQueen was first MV50, James Washington first MV 45, Helen Standing second FV45 and Rob Kersey third MV70. The results are:

Joe Percy Invitational 10k Road Race 2024
The Joe Percy was held on 12 June 2024 starting at finishing at Storthes Hall. An excellent turnout of 38 Harriers meant we were well represented in the team competition. The ladies (first 10 ladies to count) finished first ladies team overall and the men (first 10 men to count) finished second men’s team overall. Helena was also first lady overall. An excellent effort by everyone that turned up in this prestigious local event. The harriers results are shown below with the victorious team members highlighted.
