The 5th and penultimate race in this years Summer 5k Series was held earlier today (11th August) from Magdale as usual.
19 runners took part with the fastest timed run on the night being Andy Jones on 21:41 closely followed by Brandon Holroyd (21:49) and Tom Heap (21:50).
It was good to see Phil H back to run/walking again as his recovery continues and also good to see some first timers for the series. Thanks for coming Maisie, Bill, Anthony and Sarah.
With the vets race at Northowram and the Denis Stitt fell race later in the week, some runners said they were taking it easy. Lets see what September’s event brings then…
Speaking of which, the final event for this year’s series is on Tuesday 8th September which is also the Club AGM night. This means that runners will need a shorter run that night so please tell your running buddies to come along to Magdale and make the last run in the series the biggest yet. I guarantee we will be finished in time to get back to the club for the 8:30 start.
