Race three in the summer series was held on 17 June with a small but select number of runners taking part, partly due to the clash with the latest YVAA race. It was a warm, humid evening and fortunately the mozzies stayed away.
The conditions must have been good as we had some excellent performances on the night. Ben Jarvis took 6 seconds off his previous best time to set a new record in 17:42. And Katie Walshaw, fresh from her off-road running, beat the ladies record that she set herself last year. She finished in 19:15.
Well done to everyone taking part. It was good to see some new and some returning faces and we look forward to seeing you all for Race 4 on Tuesday 15 July.
