Club 6

15th March 2015, Farnley Tyas

The Club 6 was held on Sunday the 15th March on a lovely morning. There was lots of help from club members for marshalling and time keeping.

There were 31 runners over the relatively flat course around Farnley Tyas. The handicap committee met a few times and overall the results were a fair reflection of the club.

The fastest time of the day was one of the newer younger runners Peter Brooke who is improving all the time and finished in 31.27 and he won the prestigious cup fist presented in 1929 and a bottle of fizz.

The fastest lady was Helen Berry who completed the course in 3 fastest time in 37.23 and also ran over and home as part of her Marathon training and again won a bottle of fizz to relax after the run home!!

The Handicap winner was Richard Whale who managed to dip under the handicappers radar as it’s his third time as a winner in an actual time of 50.39 making a handicap time of 27.39....well done Richard...and an Easter Egg!!

Second and pre-race favourite was James Buttery in 44.34 (28.04) and third was Mark Littlewood in a time of 40.21 (28.21) who both received Easter Eggs. We also presented an Easter Egg to the 4th on handicap to Heidi King who had a great run in 47.51 (28.51) as I told her she was 3rd at the finish but she actually finished 4th....great run and lots more to come from Heidi!!

Welcome back to racing with the club to Sean Doyle who had a great run in 43.58 and the oldest runner Tim Cock who is still knocking out the times and races in a time of 53.42.
