On Tuesday, 10 Harriers made the trip to Kirkstall Abbey for the 2nd Multi-terrain GP Race in the 2017 series. A record entry of 338 saw registration close with just a couple of minutes to spare to the advertised start time of 7.30pm and the race eventually started about 5 minutes late. The course follows a lap of the abbey grounds before heading out on a gentle climb along the A65 for about a mile before heading off road on paths and with a woodland section at about half way before returning on the outward route.

1st Holmfirth Harrier to finish was 5th Steve Green 2nd M45, 35:34 followed by 8th Mike Fanning 3rd M45, 36:25; 25th Jonny Sykes 2nd M50, 38:33; 35th Margaret Sykes 1st F45, 39:30; 53rd Claire Leaver-Hewitt F35, 41:01; 151st Jacquie France 1st F55, 47:28; 180th Rob Kersey M65, 49:14; 205th Neil Midgley M65, 50:51; 262nd Steve White M60, 56:40; Bill Wade unfortunately fell not long after the start and dislocated a finger so was unable to continue.
