YVAA Draft Multi-terrain GP and Championships Programme for 2017
Category: Vets Published Date Hits: 417
The Draft YVAA race programme for 2017 is now out (see below) with plenty of opportunities to get out racing. The multi-terrain series is spread over Yorkshire but the majority of races are within an hour’s travel. Races very from almost perfectly flat as at York to our own hilly tester. Both weekday and weekend events are included. You can enter as many or as few as you wish with each race costing just £5 to enter with many prizes, spot prizes plus usually free refreshments after the race. Races are for virtually all abilities. Anyone that can do a club summer evening run of say 6 miles is capable of doing these events and age is no barrier as entrants vary from 35 to 80 years. It would be great if we could get more runners regularly supporting these events to put on a good team showing. If you are not sure if these events are for you talk to any of the regular runners such as Andy Hauser, Richard Smith, Neil Midgley, Rob Kersey and Tim Cock or for a women’s viewpoint Margaret Sykes, Rosemary Baker and Jean Shotter.
This year a number of the YVAA Road Championship events are also within our own Club Road Championships so you can count for two races for the price and effort of one!
Don’t forget I will be monitoring races to see is the most active Vet of 2017, The Vet who has competed in most YVAA events and the Age Graded Vet of the Year (details below).
