YVAA West Vale Multi-terrain GP

Last Tuesday we had another excellent turnout at the YVAA Multi-terrain GP, hosted by Stainland Lions at West Vale. This is a tough course with several climbs and a lot of tricky woodland paths. Injury and holidays took out some of our usual female runners but we still managed to get 16 runners out representing the club.

Mike Fanning again came home in 2nd place, 1st M45, finishing in 31:56 next came Chris Beadle 20th, M45, 35:28; Gary Graham 25th, M45, 35:44; Seton Waddington 31st, M35, 36:46; Andy Hauser 36th,3rd M55, 37:40; Rob Kersey 47th, 2nd M60, 39:21; Kevin Yewlett 49th, 3rd M60, 39:54; Matthew Rose 58th, M40, 41:19; Lesley Ewart 67th, 1st F60, 42:23; Rosemary Baker 73rd, 1st F55, 42:59; Neil Midgley 110th, M65, 46:34; Richard Smith 131st, M65, 48:13; Steve Hewitt 136th, M55, 48:41;Tim Cock 151st, 2nd M70, 50:37; Alison Smith 163rd, F40, 52:56 and Liz Yewlett 188th, F60, 60:43.

Two hundred runners took part in the race and enjoyed refreshments afterwards while waiting for the presentations.

There are now just 2 races left in the series for 2015. The next race in the series is at Knavesmire, York on 5th August, with the final race at Cleckheaton on 8th November. Details and complete results can be found at www.yvaa.org
