YVAA Multi-terrain Grand Prix 4, Bingley
Category: Vets Published Date Hits: 439
The 4th race in the YVAA GP series took place on the tough Bingley course on another warm evening and the usual small contingent of Holmfirth runners made the journey for another enjoyable evening of running. With Dave Watson absent the first Holmfirth finisher was James Durrans in 5th, 1st M40 a reward for all his hard work and steady improvement over the last year. Next home was John Ewart, 12th, 1st M55 who is again stamping his authority on the M55 age group and if he can keep injury free should win this category. Next came Maggie Sykes another of our team who is getting better all the time, 1st lady and 1st F40, followed by Rosemary Baker, 92nd, 2nd F50; Tim Cock 99th, 3rd M70 and an under par Bill Wade M70, 132nd.
The next race in the series is on Tuesday 12th June at Pudsey. This is another off road course of two laps on tracks and woodland paths. See Noticeboard or www.yvaa.org for details.
The next Road Championship event is the two lap 5 mile championships, held within the Bronte 5, at Howarth on Thursday 7th June. Details and entry forms can be found at www.yvaa.org .
