A slight change to this year's championship will see only 10 races this year down from 12. The best 3 short performances and 2 long will count towards the overall championship.
In addition the points for being the first Holmfirth runner home have increased and there will be 'bonus' points available for involvement within the road relays (see separate notice).
The ten races are

- February 26th Huddersfield 10k Short
- March 25th Thirsk 10 Long
- April Salford 10k Short
- May Sheffield Half Long
- June Joe Percy 10k Short
- July NO RACE
- August Askern 10 Long
- September Netherthong 10k Short
- October Holmfirth 15 Long
- November NO RACE
- December Ribble Valley 10k Short
Points & Rules
Rules & Championships for 2012
Road Championship.
- Best 3 short races and best 2 long races.
- Separate male and female championship.
- Winners must have completed a minimum of 3 short and 2 long races.
- If a tie occurs the point's total of the other championship races not counted within the tied total will be the deciding factor.
Points.
- 25 for highest placed Holmfirth Harrier, 22 for second, 20 for third then 19 and so on.
