North of England Championships

On Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th athletes from Holmfirth Harriers travelled to the EIS in Sheffield to take part in the North of England Championships. It was an exciting and nail biting competition with lots of good athletes taking part. Those from Holmfirth worked hard and put in some good performances. Jordan Toth had a pb of 6.99 in the 60m heats which gained him a place in the final where he finished 3rd with another pb of 6.96.
Max Kaye ran in the 1500m where there were no heats so he had to put everything into the one race. He did Holmfirth proud and finished 2nd in a time of 4.01.
Edward Saxton competed in the u17 boys long jump and finished in 8th place.
Aaron Kettlewell took part in the u15 boys long jump and after a hard fight and stiff competition managed to steal the title finishing in first place with an indoor pb of 5metres 45.
